New To Fly Fishing? No Problem...
Jason "JMM" Manning on our Message Board prepared this set of links to help new and beginning level anglers ease into the sport from knots to casting. Jason referenced several links from other helpful websites which we do not maintain. If you find a broken link, please let us know.
"There have been a lot of posts from new people getting started fly fishing, being one of those people myself I thought I would take the information I searched for to answer my questions and compile it together for those with the same questions. I don't learn well by reading or listening to someone tell me how to do something, I have to see it and sometimes watch it several times (that is why I like online videos). There are a lot of videos online 95% of them seem to be garbage, I had to watch a lot of bad ones to find the good one. I hope I could find some good videos for those with the same questions I had and I hope it helps." - Jason

Reading the Water...
Fly Casting is one thing, but if you don't know what trout are eating or what kind of water to find them in your not going to catch many fish.

"I also downloaded Tom Rosenbauer's Pod-Casts and listened to them on the way to the water. It was good to listen to the information right before you started out the morning. A lot of good information in the pod casts on just about any subject you can think of, and if there is something not there you can send him an email and he could use your request for a new Pod-Cast. The earlier pod casts have more information about getting started, while the newer pod-casts have more specialized topics."
