Elk River Fish Reproduction

Some of the thousands of young of the year from the Elk that was recently found and photographed by Chad See and Dave Breitmeier. It has been confirmed by a former fisheries biologist that these are indeed wild trout!!! There are tons of them and all over the river just goes to show you again why this is the best stream in the state!!!!! These baby rainbows were painted all over the catch release section of Elk and Slaty and most likely out of the C&R!!! DNR did testing this year on the Elk and it was conclusive that there is good numbers of wild rainbows and it will stay that way if the poaching stays down and we keep getting good years of reproduction just like this one.
