Instructions
to Tie:
•
First, tie on your thread and proceed to the end of the hook shank to
apply the tail.
•
When applying the tails, you will have to splay them by using three or
four hackle fibers per side.
•
Next, you will dub the body material making sure that the body has a
tapered look. You will dub nearly three quarters of the hook shank before your
stop.
•
Then this is where you will tie in your hackle. After tying in the hackle
stem you will dub close to the head of the fly. Be sure to leave enough room for
the elk hair to be tied in.
•
Finally, you will wrap the hackle two to three times over the newly
dubbed area. Lastly you will tie in the elk hock hair. Make sure you use some
pressure to force the fibers into a 45o angle. Whip finish and your
done.
